Jamal Mohamed College was founded in 1951, as an affiliated college to the University of Madras and then affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli., since its inception in 1982.
Jamal Mohamed College Typewriting institution (2007) was approved by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu.
- Jamal Mohamed College of Teacher Education (2007) is offering B.Ed., Course approved by National Council for Teacher Education, Bangalore and affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli in 2007 and later to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai from 2008.
Jamal Mohamed College Ayesha Girls Matriculation School (2009) was approved by the Director of Matriculation Schools, Government of Tamilnadu. It has been upgraded as high school from 21.03.2011.
The school has been upgraded as A Higher Secondary School from 6.9.2012 onwards, rendering valuable education with high quality service by providing all infrastructure facilities like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science Laboratories. Well equipped Library and smart classes with internet connectivity.
